Las Vegas 2014: Part 5

Super Bowl Sunday
February 2, 2014

We thought sleeping in was in order since we planned to have a long day ahead of us. We decided that we would watch the game at Senor Frogs, which was located in our hotel. We got there just about 2 o'clock and the line was ridiculous - SO long. We eventually got in and got seated at around 3pm. We struck a deal the day before with the manager, Chris, which allowed us to get in for $125 per person vs $175 plus tax each, which included an open bar and an All-You-Can-Eat Buffet. Not too bad, or I should say not too bad for Las Vegas prices. We sat at the counter and had front row seats for the big game. All the Seahawk fans appeared to be seated up stairs as we were surrounded in blue and orange. That was okay with us! ;)

Drinks were pouring (except for me and my sickness!) and the food included: chips, beans pulled pork sandwiches, mac n' cheese, taquitos, and empanadas. Our bartenders poured top-shelf, Katie lucked out! ;)

From the very first 12 seconds of the game, we knew we were in for a ride!

                                    12

The Bronco fans were actually quite hilarious, and not the least bit gracious. Oh well! We all ate, they (K & N) drank, and Nick lost money! Sorry Bro! It was a mighty fun time!

Superbowl in Vegas in quite the experience, although most of the reason was because it was the home team. If you have no connection to either team, it would probably we a very typical Las Vegas weekend.

After the game each bartender made custom celebratory shots. This is where Katie's trip took a turn for the . . . toilet?

We went back upstairs after high-fiving our way back to the hotel room and Katie made a run for the toilet. That lost shot did her in. She puked, made selfie videos, wrote a new song and all. She would kill me if I posted any of that, so just use your imagination.

Katie puked, Nick puked and I went down stairs and met some fellow Seattleites. During this time I ran though Treasure Island Hotel and Casino wearing someone's 12th Man flag. Yep, sober. That's just my Las Vegas personality- much different than my Washington one.

My friends recovering ;)

After about an hour these two were ready to rock and roll on our very last night in my most favorite city!

ROUND TWO!

We went to the Venetian to see what was up and were pretty much immediately ushered into the Rock House Bar. This is where Katie and Nick thought $5 Cherry Bomb shots were a good idea. There was a mechanical bull in this place, but of course, I was too chicken and it was too busy. I run through casinos wearing flags and ride crazy coasters, but chicken out every time I see a mechanical bull. It remains on my Bucketlist. For now at least.

Next, we gambled a little at the Venetian and made our way to an ice cream place again - something about late night ice cream in Las Vegas. This is were drunk Katie was talking to Bronco fans and only had to mutter two words before Nick and I got the idea that we should go. What did she say, you ask . . . ? "Manning Choked" HAHAHAHA!! True story? Yes. Should you tell this to a Bronco fan three hours after being crushed at the Super Bowl. No. Ohhhhhh, how I love that girl.

At that point we decide that we were due for another Oxygen Bar, buttttt they were closing, so we settled on some ice cream and tv in bed upstairs.

The next morning we got up, packed up and headed to the airport. We flew from Las Vegas to San Francisco. We had a slight layover and then we were home.

Yes, I did wear my Seahawk gear through the San Fran Airport- luckily, our pilot was a Hawk fan and cute. Ask Katie about him.

Well, that in a nut shell pretty much sums up, by far the best Las Vegas vacation on my life. I am not sure how to top that. I guess between now and August we better plan some pretty epic things!

Until next time Las Vegas!
XOXO
