Going Out With a BANG!

Today was my last hoorah for shopping. I'm really going to get a grip on this. I don't need ANYTHING... Nothing. I WANT a lot, but I don't NEED anything. Today I shopped and shopped and shopped some more knowing that I'm going to hang it up for awhile. My truck was PACKED full of shopping bags. Of course it's always really good deals that  buy and I never spend much money. The point is that I don't need anything, so I need to waste time and the effort of shopping ALL.THE.TIME! Before I hang up the shopping let me relish in my great deals I got today: 
* I went to Old Navy in Portland and got: 8 shirts, 1 sweater, 2 pair of work slacks, 2 dog Halloween costumes, 5 pairs of flops, 4 pairs of fuzzy socks, 2 pairs pajama pants, and 1 new coat all for a grand total of................. $50.69!! Did I really NEED new clothes... NO, but how can I resist such great deals?!?  :o)
*I went to The Body Shop and I used my $20 Groupon that was worth $40 is products! So I got $40 worth (which is not much at that store).
* I also went to Victoria Secret because I have 25 $10 Gift Certificates so I've been going quite a bit and I've started buying Christmas Presents.
*I had a $25 gift card to Bath and Body Works, so I combined that with various coupons that I had gotten in the mail and got 2 bags of things.
*I went to Bed Bath and Beyond (one of my favorite stores) and bought a few things for the dogs, the kitchen and the house all for under $15 with COUPONS!
* I then stopped at Target and loaded up on 80 cans of cat food for the fosters because I had a stack of buy 1 get TWO free! That's a GREAT buy!
* I got a few things at Fred Meyer also because they were having a 6 Hour Sale!!!


Needless to say I have a new wardrobe and the dogs, cats and house do not need ANYTHING! I have started Christmas shopping, so that is still ok, but nothing for myself.... Nada. Nothing.!

I found these Lables last year and I loved it so much that I book marked it and saved it for this year. These are just apothecary jars that were sitting around the house.

Graveyard Dust using the sand.

Twisted Twigs using the extra black curly willow.

 Vampire blood is a tube of fake blood from the Dollar Store and water.

The best part about these Halloween crafts is the cost.

Potion labels, tree and boo sign and vintage cards- free off the Internet.

Curly willow- $1.99 craft store.

Jar fillers- free from around the house.

Vampire blood- $1 from the Dollar Store.

Black satin- $2.99 from Joann Fabric.

Reindeer moss- free from Christmas craft bin.

Votive candles- 6 for $1 from Joann Fabric.

Total cost- $10.67

You gotta love a good bargain!

The Boys are Back in Town!

My three boys went back last Tuesday and they were neutered and ready for adoption. buttttttttt then they all got sick. So guess what?!? They are coming back home with me. Just as soon as they are healed they'll be good to go and they'll be ready to find their forever homes! But for now I get three more babies to snuggle with! ♥   

OVEREXPOSURE!

I’ve gone to gyms off and on since I was in high school. I would always do my workout, then head home. I never used the locker rooms because I lived close to the gyms.
Well, now that I’m forcing myself to exercise again, I’ve started using the locker room at the Hot Yoga place because I sweat so much. Seriously, I'm motivated to go to Yoga because I have a wonderful reward waiting for me – the hottest, most worry-free shower. It’s worth the price of admission.
I’m one of those people that works out in my cute yoga outfit, but I'm not dressed super cute or over the top with make-up or anything. This puts me in the minority. In Hot Yoga ladies love to work out in booty shorts and sports bras. Whatever.... I expect the almost-nudity on the gym floor.
I was NOT prepared for the constant nudity in the locker room. I know, you’re thinking, “Kristina, it’s a LOCKER ROOM. Of COURSE there is nudity.” And to that I say no. No. This is not normal. The second I walk into the locker room, I am assaulted with body parts that only doctors and husbands get to see. Ladies just walking around like it’s no big deal that any gal who wants to can see their lady parts.
Chicks are walking around naked. They sit on the benches – BENCHES! – butt nekkid, and talk to each other. How is that sanitary?! They blow dry their hair au naturel. They walk from the shower to the dressing area without towels, just air drying. Which I’m sorry, that’s just an accident waiting to happen. The last thing I need to see is a naked lady slip and fall!
The other day  I was getting dressed after another awesome shower, and a woman started chit chatting with me about being a teacher. In the buff. She was making no effort to get dressed. She was just…NAKED. TALKING TO ME ABOUT TEACHING. And all I could think was, “look her in the eyes, look her in the eyes!” And then I wondered if she was like, judging me because I was using my seventh-grade-gym-class moves to get dressed without anyone seeing my special areas.
I’m all for positive body image. I’m getting better at liking my body, but I am not like, “WHEEEEE! LOOK AT ME, STRANGERS!! I’M GOING STREAKING!”
Call me a prude, but I just don’t want to talk about the weather while my vajayjay is on display.

I still have Stella. She has about 5 days left of her antibiotics and then she will go back! I *think* I may have found a home for her, so I have a few more days to make that happen.

I picked up this sweet 6 week old girl today. Meet Sofia...   ♥

This is Hope. She is my newest foster baby. She is a 6 year old Aussie Mix.

Goodbye Sweet Sasha

Sasha found a home today. As I write this I am in tears. Literally. I really... REALLY loved that girl. Sasha was my first foster baby and I considered MANY times about keeping her. She is beautiful and has the greatest personality. I had many people interested in adopting her and for some reason or another it always fell though. I was getting really sad about her not having a set home for her to go to, but today it finally happened! 
Sasha will be spayed tomorrow morning and go home to her no mommy tomorrow night. She will be living with a co-worker of mine, so I will be able to keep tabs on her. I need to stop crying over it, but I really miss her. I don't know if I am cut out for this foster care stuff - I didn't think that I would get attached as quickly as I did. I gave her a good two weeks here with me and I found her a good momma. Mission accomplished.

All these boys MAJORLY lack social skills. They super shy and not really adoptable in the state that they are in. I am hoping to have them well adjusted soon and ready to find homes in the next 2 weeks!
