I'm so obsessed with Pinterest right now.  I have been wanting to join for quite a while, but you must be invited and I couldn't get anyone to "invite" me. Well.... now I have joined.  I have close to 80 projects that I am wanting to do for my home and classroom.  I have to start small and here is my very first one.

Las Vegas: Part 7

. . .  as we were walking up the hill to the Mirage, so we could go to JET Nightclub this troll looking man stopped us and asked us if we wanted to go to JET. We told him that we were on our way there right now. He asked if we had passes and we told him yes. He said that he could walk us up and get us right in. So we walked.... and walked.... and walked. Now, remember our feet are KILLING us. We got to the club and there was a line to get it, but we were a little early. We started to get the feeling that we were NOT going to be able to get into this club. We waited and waited as this little troll of a man was on his phone texting and calling people trying to work something out. At this point my feet were hurting so bad I thought I was going to throw up. Never in my life have I had my feet hurt bad enough to puke! That's INTENSE! After waiting for close to a half an hour the troll told us he could not get MEN in at this entrance, so E would have had to go in the general public line. We said forget it and Toni and I took off our heels and walked BARE FOOT down the Las Vegas Boulevard. If you have been to Las Vegas you know that is NASTY - but when you are in such pain it just doesn't matter. We finally got a cab to take us back... no more buses and no more WALKING!! 

We never did make it into JET, but IF we did this is what it would be been like...

We went back to our hotel to get out of our dresses and put on some comfy clothes. Of course, we had to clean our feet that turned BLACK from walking barefoot.   

After we scrubbed out dirty feet it was time for a little casino time downstairs in PH and then bed. All in all it was a great day in Las Vegas and and we still have ONE more full day to go!

Zoom FREAKING Zoom

The time came for the Saturn to find a new home. I have had that car since March of 2007. Although, the Saturn often would not start until a 10 minute waiting period of first trying it I NEVER but a penny in repairs to that car. I was able to pay cash and not a payment, so I feel pretty good about that investment. The car had just hit 100,000 miles, so I knew it was time to either get rid of it or get prepared to shell out some money for repairs. And, just to clear it up the "not starting" is a Saturn issue that is WELL KNOWN, yet no recall was ever done. I took the car to 4 different mechanics ( 2 in Ellensburg and 2 in Vancouver) and it could never be diagnosed. Regardless, eventually it DID start each time and it was a good car.  

Now here is the new baby....

I am obsessed with my white iPhone 4s! She is the most amazing thing ever. I hope I do not forget how to call and text people since my new bff, Siri does it all for me.

Siri and I have some GREAT conversations with each other about various things...

What's New

I have SO much to catch up on. I am completely OVER the blogging every day thing. I have NO idea how I did it for almost 300 days.  I have had a few people mention how disappointed they are that I have not had the time to blog. I am sorry. I don't even have time to do anything for fun lately, but life IS slowing down, so I am ready to get back on the saddle. Fun, Fun, Fun blogs are coming your way!

Epic. Fail.

I failed my challenge. I did not blog every day in 2011. I made it over 250 days and then I fell of the band wagon. I'm a loser. Work has been so busy that I have had little time for anything extra and unfortunately blogging was one of the first things to go. I am going to "back post" and get caught up, but after December 31, 2011 I will no longer vow to post daily. Sorry friends.

I'm a slacker. This blog has been the least of my concerns lately. I've been working and working and working some more. I LOVE it, but it's exhausting!!! :)

Journal

I have yet to pick up my journal to write it in since that dreadful day in 2010.  It even pains me just to read it. I started this journal in January of 2006 - just 2 weeks before Alex and I met.  I don't remember life before him, so when I say my entire life is in this journal it's really what I mean. I picked it up to read it tonight  . . . I've been looking though stuff to take to my classroom and I came across it tonight. I wasn't able to read more than 50 words before I was sitting on the floor of my office, with a tear rolling down my cheek.  I had to put it away- I just had to. As I went to put it back on the shelf a piece of paper fell out.  Now mind you, I NEVER share this journal or it's entries with ANYBODY, but I thought maybe I would start.  Besides what's a blog for... ? To release it all, right?

I want him to feel that I am the most wonderful, awe inspiring woman on the planet and if that ever stops it will be it for us and it will be the worst feeling in the world."

I don't remember what made me right this - it was just 2 weeks after we became engaged on October 20, 2007.  What I do know is that "look" did fade and it was the end of us and, undoubtedly, it was and is the worst feeling in the world.
