It's no secret that I love Simon Cowell. I mean, c'mon my DOG is named after Simon Cowell! (Not by MY choice, but I'll take the credit for it in this case).  So as you might have read in previous blog posts I was excited for the Simon's new show The X-Factor to start. I watched it on both nights last week and I think I am still pretty indifferent on whether or not I actually like the show.  Since Simon and Paula are there it's kind of American Idol'ish.

After watching both nights I can't decide who my favorite act is yet. . .

Las Vegas: Part 6

Okay, I know how bad it is that it's September 24th and I have been home from Las Vegas for over a month and STILL have not blogged about it all. I am getting worried that I will forget stuff, so here it goes...

We were heading into the Wynn Hotel and Casino, of course,  my feet are throbbing, but I love the Wynn and it's just SO beautiful.

 If the location on the strip was not so dang far away from everything I would consider staying there the next time! When we walked in and I sat down at one of the first penny machines I saw. Wouldn't you know that I put in $5 bucks and won $20 on my first spin! I knew I loved this place! I had a tight budget and really didn't want to GIVE my money away, so I didn't put anymore in than that original $5! (The dealer ALWAYS wins, right?!) 
I believe I ended up being just under $30 dollars ahead at that casino that night. Toni did pretty good. . .  she *almost* hit the big jackpot only 1 number away. Either way I believe that she came out close to $100 dollars ahead that night. After some fun times (and really good, fast coming, FREE drinks at the casino) we decided to walk back down the strip toward the Mirage Hotel and Casino where JET Nightclub is located. Now I had a a plan to see the HOTTEST night clubs. . .  You know, the ones where the celebs par-tay.... Pure, Tao, etc. Unfortunately, on a Monday or Tuesday night in Las Vegas the best clubs are closed. Thursday-Saturday nights are definitely the best nights to go.  
So. . .  as we were walking up the hill to get to the entrance of the Mirage. . .

Give up?

I have NO idea why I said I would blog for 365 days straight. I have a million things to share, but now with working two jobs I have absolutely NO time to write about anything that I want to share. I have about 12 posts started and no time to finish any of them. I had hopes of sharing some tonight, but I'm falling asleep as I sit here. Maybe I should just give up.

Hahaha. Well, I have been working A LOT lately, so I haven't seen much at all. My dvr is maxed out and is deleting stuff because it's so full. I always have the tv on no matter what I am doing.   {four}Do you think TV has gotten too"racy" (vulgar, pushing the limit, etc)? I think movies have even gotten worse than tv.I think PG-13 movies are what Rated R movies used to be back in the day.And Rated R movies...well there are no words for how bad they have gotten.

Now that the end is finally near it's time to plan the celebration of all celebrations!

My freedom is SO close I can taste it.  This long and painful journey is coming to an end. The ball is rolling and I see the light at the end of the tunnel.  I feel good. I feel at peace.  I'm coming out of this so much better and stronger. The next few months will be tough, but I need to push through and be rid of this sorry excuse of a man FOREVER!

Las Vegas: Part 5

I had dreamed about getting a super hot little dress and some rockin' shoes to have a night out on the town in beautiful Las Vegas. I found a cute black dress and I paired it with my most favorite Vera Wang heels while in Vegas. (Now let me just say  . . .  after a day and a half of walking around Vegas with my gladiators I was already beginning to get blisters on my feet.- You'll be hearing way more about this!) 

Toni and I got all beautiful and set out for the night!

 We got about a half of a block down the steet to wait for the Deuce. If you don't know what the Deuce is it's the bus/tram that runs up and down the strip. It comes every 15 minutes and only costs $7 for a 24 hour pass. You can beat that! Just so you know- a ride from one end of the strip to the other can be $25 and from one hotel to another is $12-$15. It REALLY adds up. 

By the time we were standing and waiting for the Deuce my feet began to HURT. I just sucked it up and hopped on the Deuce and we headed North toward Treasure Island "TI" Hotel. I really wanted to see the Sirens of TI show that started at 8:00pm. Come to find out you really have to go about an hour early to find a spot. I couldn't get close enough to find a spot to see, but I found an internet picture, so you can see what it looks like. 

Next time I am in Vegas I SHALL go early and see this racy pirate show! We watched from across the street for a little bit and then I talked the group into going to the Wynn Casino and Hotel, which was up a few hotels. By this time Toni and I had feet that were hurting SO bad, but we looked hot and wanted to play at the casino a little before hitting up JET night club, so we continued on! The Wynn is BY FAR my favorite hotel to play slots at. Last time I was in Vegas (2009) the Wynn was the ONLY hotel I won ANYTHING at. So we made the hike, with hurting feet and extreme heat into the Wynn . And, this is where the night gets exciting!

Wordless Wednesday

Las Vegas: Part 4

After we got all beautiful for the day we set out to explore! It was very hot outside and it was a very long walk to where we wanted to go, so we took a Taxi to Madame Tussauds Wax Museum at the Venetian Hotel. Can I just stop and mention or a minute that the Venetian Hotel is BEYOND beautiful and that's another hotel on my list that I MUST stay at! I am really glad we went to the wax museum it was really one of the highlights of the trip. Here are a few of my favorite shots . . .

After hanging out here for a few we took a Taxi again to the Hooter's Hotel and Casino, which was on the more South end of the strip. We got suckered into a deal that someone told us about. . . we were told there was a free $200 in game play there. We got there and signed up and yes, there was a free $200 in game play on "promotional slot machines" - big scam. Yup, big scam and a waste of time.  I can't say that I was upset that we went there because I ended up winning a little money at the Hooter's Hotel and Casino. After we finished up there we went back to the hotel to hang out before getting ready for a HOT night on the town.

Las Vegas: Part 3

On day two of Las Vegas we slept in a little (as much as we could at least- 9am!) and then I went down to get some breakfast. I went to the Starbucks that was in our hotel, Planet Hollywood, to get some coffee and, of course, a Chonga Bagel (little did I know that it would be one of my last- I'm sure there will be a blog about that soon!) The wait was about 20 minutes to get come coffee! After we all had breakfast in the hotel room we headed out to the pool. I would say that Planet Hollywood had a pretty sub-par pool with REALLY expensive drinks. Get this- a lemonade with Vodka was $14. . .  CRAZY! We soaked up some sun and then headed back to our room to get ready for what the day had in store.

Okay, seriously my dad is getting REALLY old (he doesn't read this, so I can say it) and it's just so weird to me! I still think of him as a twenty something and I still think of my mom as a 30 something (yup, she's older! :o) My mom actually does read this blog... daily and I know she will appreciate me pointing out her age. Hey, what are kids for? To remind you how old you are!
