I am FINALLY on my way! I wish I would have started years ago, because the pay increase is so significant. I start my program on June 25th and should be done around April of 2014. That seems so far off. I will be 29 years old when I finish. It was my goal to be done with school entirely by 30, so I am still on track! I will still need to get my professional certificate and I will probably start that next year and do it along with my Masters and finish both at the same time.
There is still the chance I will go on to get my Principal Certificate, but is a few years down the road. I will be getting my Masters in Professional Development, which will open me up to numerous jobs in the field of education, but not necessarily in the classroom. I would like to explore the areas of mentoring, Intervention Specialist and/or the option of teaching at a university. I don't know where this all will take me, but I am excited to find out!
