The city of Leavenworth has always held a special place in my heart. As a child it was one of my favorite places to go and I have many fond memories of our trips there. Leavenworth happened to be a short drive from Ellensburg, so it quickly became mine and Alex's go to place. Winter... Fall... Spring... Summer it didn't matter we LOVED going to Leavenworth. Of course, last year we spent New Years in Leavenworth (Leavenworth 2009) and with everything that has gone on this year it was bitter sweet to return to a place that I loved so much while feeling really sad.

Here is where we stayed...
Each day we went down to the pool... YES it WAS below freezing outside, but nevertheless it was a blast. We would take cups of warm apple cider or hot chocolate down to the pool with us. Oh you can't forget our super comfy white robes that we wore!

I left Leavenworth this year with a few new memories.... some good and some bad. I still adore the town and I will, of course, go back. Something just doesn't feel right about being there without a certain someone. Sigh.....
Adios, Leavenworth.... I'll see you in 2011!
