Ryder was neutered today. The poor little boy has to wear a cone on his head because he keeps licking his stitches. He's really not feeling really well. He wants to play with this brother, but just can't. He weighed in at 43 pounds at the vet today (he's 47 at home, so I like the vet's scale much better) and they said he'll most likely end up at 80-90 pounds. Now I really do not like little dogs, so I said I wanted a big one but maybe not 80-90 big. I think 50-60 would do! We'll see where he ends up! He goes in on Saturday for a check-up and then his stitches will be taken out just a couple days before we drop him off in Tacoma while we go to Leavenworth for the New Year holiday. Here are a few pictures of this cutie...
He refuses to walk with this on...

They told us Cooper would be 90-100 pounds, and he's only 75. It's really a good size! Same thing happened with my friends lab-newfoundland mix who they expected to be around 110=120, and she's only like 60! They don't know what they are talking about half the time! especially with mixed breeds! I love all the pictures, you are such a good Mommy and those pups are so lucky to have you! Ryder definnnnitely drew the long straw when you guys picked him up!
Hey!
I lost the link to your blog and now I have it again. Now I get to go see some baby pictures! Alex told me he saw you at Fred's and you had a "good lookin' kid" lol
Yeah, you are right I really think they just take a stab in the dark when they give ideas on weight. I guess it'll be another 6-8 months until we really know. Cooper is big, but not too big I actually wouldn't mind that size. Too bad our yard is not the biggest- we planned for only Simon, so it wasn't too big of a deal that is wasn't huge. I guess we'll get good use of our the dog park this way!
